COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Business Information Technology degree at Aberystwyth University equips students with the skills to effectively apply technology in business contexts. In the first year, students develop a strong foundation in computer infrastructure, programming, object-oriented languages, web development, and information security, alongside study skills and optional modules such as data analytics, marketing principles, and problem-solving. In the final year, students consolidate their knowledge and skills through applied web development, e-commerce implementation, management and security, marketing management, professional issues in computing, and a substantial web-based major project. The course emphasises both technical competence and business understanding, ensuring students can analyse business requirements, design effective IT solutions, and implement systems that enhance organisational performance. Graduates gain highly transferable skills including analytical thinking, programming, web development, project management, and professional communication.
