COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business Management with People Management degree provides a structured path for developing both business capability and specialist HR skills. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation through modules in accounting, management, human resource management, economics and people-focused practices, supported by academic and numeracy skills. Year 2 develops this further with core HR study through Theory and Practice in HRM, alongside modules in business analytics, sustainability, project management and university success skills. These subjects help students understand how people management aligns with organisational goals and data-driven decision-making. In Year 3, the focus shifts to global and practical HR contexts with modules such as Managing Across Cultures and Recruitment and Talent Management, helping students explore how workforce needs vary across international settings and how effective recruitment strategies support organisational performance. In the final year, students study advanced HR and business topics including managing organisational change, employee relations and engagement, strategic HRM and business ethics. These modules provide high-level skills in leadership, organisational strategy and ethical decision-making. Overall, the program equips graduates with the knowledge and practical abilities required for careers in HR, people management, organisational development and broader management roles.
