COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance with People Management degree provides a comprehensive blend of financial expertise and human resource knowledge, developing both analytical and people-focused skills across four years of study. In Year 1, students begin with introductory modules in accounting, finance, management and human resource management, alongside support in academic skills and numeracy. This foundation helps them understand how organisations function financially and how people are managed within them. Year 2 deepens these skills through financial and management accounting, business law and core HR concepts, building a stronger grasp of organisational behaviour and HR practices. By Year 3, the program introduces more advanced financial topics such as corporate finance and international financial accounting, while also exploring global management issues and the evolving nature of work. This combination strengthens students’ ability to connect financial decision-making with workforce management in diverse environments. In the final year, advanced modules in international financial accounting, corporate finance and financial management are complemented by specialised HR topics including employee relations, engagement and strategic HRM. Together, these develop high-level skills in leadership, financial analysis and organisational strategy. Graduates are well prepared for careers that require both financial competence and effective people management across various business sectors.
