COURSE CURRICULUM

The Materials Engineering for the Manufacturing Industry master’s program is structured over two years to provide a balance of advanced technical knowledge, practical application, and research skills. In the first year, students focus on core engineering topics such as thermodynamics, physical metallurgy, computational fluid dynamics, liquid metal processing, and materials testing and characterization. These courses build a strong foundation in understanding material behavior and manufacturing processes. In the spring semester, the emphasis shifts to product development and sustainability, with courses covering materials and process selection, simulation for integrated product realization, sustainable production, and the design and manufacturing of polymers and composites. In the second year, students deepen their expertise through advanced research methodology and surface technology, while also having the opportunity to study abroad and gain international exposure. The final semester is dedicated to a comprehensive project in product development, where students apply their knowledge to solve real-world engineering challenges. Optional courses, such as industrial placement or project-based learning, provide additional practical experience and industry interaction. This structure ensures that graduates develop strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for advanced roles in materials engineering and modern manufacturing industries.
