COURSE CURRICULUM

The LeaDS program is structured over two years to develop expertise in education, digitalisation, and sustainability through a combination of theoretical study, research, and practical application. In the first year, students begin with core courses focusing on learning, digital transformation, global education perspectives, and social justice, building a strong foundation in how education systems evolve in a digital and global context. They also study implementation processes in schools, gaining insight into how technological changes are introduced and managed. In the spring semester, the focus shifts to research and independent learning, with courses in research methods, advanced digitalisation processes, and an individual literature course. A major component of the program is the master’s thesis, where students conduct in-depth research on a topic related to learning, digitalisation, and sustainability. In the second year, students further develop leadership and research skills through courses in sustainable leadership in a digital age and advanced research methods. Optional courses, such as sustainability and educational technology, AI literacy, and individual reading courses, allow students to tailor their studies according to their interests. This structure ensures a balance between theory, research, and practical skills, preparing graduates to lead digital and sustainable change in education systems.
