COURSE CURRICULUM

The User Experience Design one-year master’s program is structured to provide a focused and intensive education in human-computer interaction, digital behaviour, and leadership. In the autumn semester, students build a strong foundation through courses in cognitive psychology for human-computer interaction, helping them understand how users think and interact with digital systems. They also study web personalisation and consumer behaviour in online contexts, gaining insights into how digital experiences can be tailored to individual needs and preferences. Quantitative methods for human-computer interaction further develop students’ ability to conduct research, analyse user data, and make evidence-based design decisions. In the spring semester, the program focuses on ethical, practical, and leadership aspects of user experience design. Students study digital ethics and privacy, learning how to design responsible and trustworthy digital products. They also complete a final project in informatics, where they apply their knowledge to solve a real-world user experience challenge. In addition, the course in agile practices and leadership helps students understand how to manage teams and innovation processes effectively in fast-paced digital environments. This structure ensures graduates gain a balanced mix of analytical, technical, and leadership skills for careers in user experience design and digital innovation.
