COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master in Engineering Management is a one-year program that prepares engineering graduates for leadership and managerial roles in technical and engineering-focused organisations. The program combines engineering knowledge with business, leadership, and organisational skills to help students transition into roles where they can manage projects, teams, and innovation processes effectively. In the autumn semester, students begin with an Introduction to Business, which provides a basic understanding of organisational and economic principles. They then study Foundations of Engineering Management, where they learn core concepts related to managing engineering projects, processes, and systems. Alongside this, Leading with People focuses on leadership, teamwork, and communication skills needed to guide and motivate individuals in professional environments. In the spring semester, students take Boosting Innovation, which explores how to develop and manage innovation within engineering and business contexts. They also complete Investigating and Reporting, which strengthens their research, analytical, and communication abilities through structured reporting and problem-solving tasks. The program includes an Internship in Engineering Management, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a real workplace setting and gain practical experience. Overall, the program equips graduates with the ability to combine technical understanding with management skills, preparing them for careers in project management, operations, and leadership positions in engineering industries.
