The Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy at Schiller International University is designed to equip students with the expertise needed to navigate the complexities of the global political and diplomatic arena. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical applications, offering a broad and in-depth understanding of international relations, diplomacy, and global governance. Core subjects include Methods of Research and Analysis, Diplomacy Workshop: Practical and Historical, International Relations & Diplomacy Workshop, Current Issues in International Relations: Theories, Media Communication Strategies, International Organizations, Conflict and Peace Strategies, International Economic Problems, International Law, Human Rights, Advanced Topics in International Business, and a Master's Thesis or Project. Many modules are delivered in collaboration with UNITAR, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world international practices, along with optional opportunities such as a fellowship program in Geneva or internships.The program emphasizes critical analysis, problem-solving, and the application of foundational principles and theories in international business and diplomacy. Students learn to evaluate global challenges such as political instability, trade policies, climate change, and human rights issues while integrating diversity, multicultural perspectives, and ethical decision-making into their approach.
