COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master in International Health Management program at Berlin School of Business and Innovation is structured across four terms to provide a comprehensive understanding of global healthcare systems and management practices. In the first term, students build a strong foundation by studying national health systems and policies, management of health organisations, human resource management in healthcare, and the role of information technology in health systems, gaining essential knowledge of how healthcare institutions operate. The second term focuses on leadership and social aspects of healthcare, covering decision making, planning and leadership, as well as the anthropology and sociology of health and medical care, and ethical, cultural, and behavioural considerations that influence healthcare delivery. In the third term, students develop analytical and financial skills through subjects such as socioeconomic research in health services and financial and economic management of health organisations, enabling them to evaluate and improve healthcare systems effectively. The final term emphasises practical experience and independent research, where students complete an internship to gain real-world exposure and a dissertation to demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge to real healthcare challenges. Overall, the program prepares graduates for leadership roles in international healthcare management.
