COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science program provides students with comprehensive knowledge of human movement, physical performance, health, and fitness through both theoretical and practical learning. In the first academic year, students study modules such as Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, Biomechanics, Foundation of Fitness and Training, Functional Anatomy, Human Nutrition, and Lifespan Growth and Development. These subjects help students develop a strong understanding of the human body, movement mechanics, nutrition, physical fitness, and how the body changes and develops throughout different stages of life. In the second academic year, students progress to more specialised topics including Exercise Delivery, Exercise Physiology, Motor Learning and Control, Principles and Practices of Resistance Training, Psychology of Sport, Exercise and Health, and Statistical Research Methods. These modules focus on exercise performance, physical training methods, human behaviour in sports and health settings, and the scientific analysis of exercise and sports data. The program combines scientific principles with practical applications, enabling students to design and evaluate fitness and exercise programs that support health improvement, chronic disease prevention, and athletic performance enhancement. Through practical training and evidence-based learning, students develop professional skills needed for careers in sports coaching, fitness training, exercise rehabilitation, health promotion, and sports performance management across private, corporate, and government sectors.
