COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information Technology program provides students with strong technical knowledge and practical skills in information systems, software development, cybersecurity, networking, and business technology management. The curriculum includes core modules such as Applied Artificial Intelligence, Computing Fundamentals, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Database and Information Management, Human-Computer Interaction, Object Oriented Programming, Systems and Network Administration, Systems Analysis and Design, ICT Business Analysis, ICT Project Management, Professional Practice in IT, and Web Technologies. Students also complete Work Integrated Learning modules that provide industry exposure and practical experience in professional IT environments. The program offers specialised majors in ICT Developer and ICT Professional. The ICT Developer major focuses on areas such as Data Structures, Discrete Mathematics, Games Design, Mobile Application Programming, Systems Design for the Digital Economy, and Web Programming, helping students develop software engineering and application development skills. The ICT Professional major covers advanced topics including Advanced Database, Big Data, Business Decision Making, Cloud Computing, Introduction to Programming, and System and Network Security, preparing students for IT management and enterprise technology roles. Students may also choose elective modules based on availability and program scheduling. Assessment methods may include assignments, tests, projects, and final examinations, enabling students to apply theoretical concepts to practical technological challenges.
