COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce program is designed to provide students with strong business, accounting, and financial knowledge while developing practical and analytical skills required in today’s global business environment. The course begins with core modules such as Analytics in Business, Design Thinking: Creativity in Action, Economics for Business Decision, Fundamentals of Accounting, Fundamentals of Finance, and Introduction to Management and Sustainability, helping students build a broad understanding of business operations, finance, and strategic decision-making. Students also choose a business core module in either Foundations of Law or Foundations of Marketing and complete a Career-Ready Industry Led Project Lab that provides practical industry experience. The program offers specialised majors in Accounting and Finance. The Accounting major covers areas such as financial reporting, auditing, taxation, accounting information systems, management accounting, and business law, preparing students for professional accounting careers and financial analysis roles. The Finance major focuses on investment analysis, financial management, derivative securities, international finance, financial modelling, debt securities, and financial technologies, equipping students with skills needed for careers in banking, investment, and financial services. Students may also select elective modules based on availability. Assessment methods may include assignments, projects, and final examinations, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world business and financial situations while developing professional competencies relevant to the commerce industry.
