COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Digital Media program provides students with a practical and creative learning experience focused on digital technologies, storytelling, immersive design, and media production. In the first academic year, students develop foundational creative and technical skills through modules such as Skills Lab, Narrative and Storytelling, Hack Lab and Creative Play, From 2D to 3D: Developing Visual Skills, Prototyping, Concept Development and Design, and People, Pipelines and Productions. These modules introduce students to visual design, creative experimentation, digital production processes, and collaborative media development. In the second year, the program expands into more advanced and industry-focused topics including Beyond the Digital Revolution: Digital Contexts, Transmedia Storytelling and Immersive Design, Hacking the Immersive Pipeline, Digital Marketing and Content Creation, Engaging in Professional Practice, and Creative Collaboration. Through these modules, students gain deeper understanding of immersive technologies, interactive media, digital communication, and professional media practices. The program emphasises project-based learning, allowing students to apply their knowledge to real-world creative and technological challenges while developing critical thinking and collaboration skills. By combining technical expertise, creative storytelling, and digital innovation, the course prepares students for careers in digital media, content creation, immersive design, game development, digital marketing, and other emerging areas within the creative technology industry.
