ABOUT UNIVERSITY

PSB Academy is a private educational institution in Singapore that offers certificate, diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programmes. It is registered under SkillsFuture Singapore and has developed into a multi-school institution comprising the School of Foundation Studies, School of Business and Management, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Life and Physical Science, School of Postgraduate Studies, and the Digital Academy. The institution traces its origins back to 1964 when it began as a Productivity Unit, which later evolved into the National Productivity Centre under the Economic Development Board. Over the years, it underwent several transformations, including the formation of the National Productivity Board in 1972 and the establishment of structured training divisions. In 1996, it merged into the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board, after which it became the PSB Institute of Productivity Training and was later rebranded as PSB Academy in 2001 when it was corporatised. It was privatised in 2006 and changed ownership several times, including acquisition by TUV SUD, Baring Private Equity Asia, and later Intermediate Capital Group in 2018. The academy expanded significantly in recent years, opening a City Campus at Marina Square in 2017 and a STEM Wing in 2022 as part of continued investment in facilities. It also launched regional satellite campuses in Myanmar and Indonesia. In 2024, PSB Academy partnered with Massey University from New Zealand to open an international branch campus in Singapore, further expanding its academic offerings in business, analytics, and information sciences.
