COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing at Curtin University requires students to complete 600 credits to graduate, with most units carrying 25 credits each. The program is structured across six trimesters and combines core business studies with specialised marketing knowledge to prepare students for careers in modern marketing and business environments. In the early stages of the course, students study foundational subjects such as Financial Decision Making, Analytics for Decision Making, Discovering Marketing, Communication, Culture and Indigenous Perspectives in Business, Strategic Career Design, Markets and Legal Frameworks, and Consumer Behaviour. These units help students understand business operations, customer decision-making, and communication strategies. As students progress through the program, they explore advanced marketing topics including Marketing Intelligence, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, Marketing Across Borders, Creating Content and Marketing Briefs, Strategic Marketing, Services Marketing, and Managing Social Media Platforms. These subjects focus on digital communication, international marketing, brand strategy, customer engagement, and the use of social media in business promotion. Elective units throughout the course allow students to customise their studies according to personal interests and career goals.
