COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce in Management at Curtin University requires students to complete 600 credits to graduate, with most units carrying 25 credits each. The course is structured across six trimesters and combines core business knowledge with specialised management studies to prepare students for leadership and organisational roles. In the early stages of the program, students study foundational subjects such as Financial Decision Making, Analytics for Decision Making, Discovering Marketing, Communication, Culture and Indigenous Perspectives in Business, Strategic Career Design, Markets and Legal Frameworks, and Organisational Behaviour. These units help students build communication, analytical, and business management skills while understanding workplace behaviour and business operations. As students progress, they study more advanced management topics including Business and Sustainable Development, Human Resources Management Introduction, International Management, Managing Change, Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics, and Strategic Management. These subjects focus on leadership, organisational growth, ethical decision-making, innovation, and managing people and resources effectively in modern business environments. Elective units throughout the program provide flexibility for students to explore additional areas of interest and career specialisations. The course combines practical and theoretical learning to prepare graduates for careers in management, administration, business development, human resources, consulting, and leadership roles across a wide range of industries and organisations.
