COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce in Management and Human Resource Management at Curtin University requires students to complete 600 credits to graduate, with most units carrying 25 credits each. The course is structured across six trimesters and combines business management studies with specialised human resource management training. In the early stages of the program, students study foundational business subjects such as Financial Decision Making, Discovering Marketing, Communication, Culture and Indigenous Perspectives in Business, Introduction to Global Business, Analytics for Decision Making, Strategic Career Design, Markets and Legal Frameworks, and Organisational Behaviour. These units help students develop business, analytical, communication, and leadership skills while understanding organisational operations and workplace behaviour. As students progress, they study more specialised subjects including Employee Relations in Singapore, Human Resources Management Introduction, Business and Sustainable Development, Responsible Management in Asia, Human Resources Development, International Management, and Project Management. Advanced trimesters focus on areas such as Building a Sustainable Workforce, International Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Strategic Rewards and Performance Management, Managing Change, and Business Ethics. The program combines theoretical and practical learning to prepare graduates for careers in management, human resources, recruitment, employee relations, organisational development, training, and leadership roles across local and international business environments.
