COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality curriculum is structured over three years. In Year One, students cover foundational topics such as Professionalism and Core Skills for Tourism and Hospitality, Introduction to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Supervisory Skills, Showcasing Tourism, Travel, Hospitality and Gastronomy, Managing the Customer Experience, Planning and Marketing for Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise, Hotel Operations, Tourism Operating Environments, Food and Beverage Operations, and The Destination Experience. Year Two focuses on more advanced and specialized areas including Cultural Dimensions of Tourism and Hospitality, Staff Development and Retention, Planning for Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise, Product Development for the Industry, Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise and Investment, Event Management, Innovation in Food and Beverage, Impacts of Tourism and Travel, Hotel Management, and Destination Management. In Year Three, the curriculum centers on Entrepreneurship for the Service Sector, Branding and Marketing Strategies for both Hospitality and Tourism sectors, Product Innovation and Development for both sectors, as well as practical experiences through an Internship and an Industry Project.
