COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the program, students study six core courses that provide foundational knowledge in computing. Along with this, they explore the basics of networks and the internet, focusing on data communications and the principles of computer networking within a network environment. This introduction helps students understand how networks operate and sets the stage for more advanced topics. Additionally, students begin coursework for their second major, minor, or elective courses, allowing them to broaden their academic interests and skills. In the second year, the focus shifts to more practical and technical subjects such as network and system administration, applications, and operating systems. These courses provide students with the skills needed to manage and maintain computer networks and systems effectively. Students continue to take courses related to their second major, minor, or electives, further diversifying their knowledge and preparing them for interdisciplinary work. The third year offers advanced coursework centered on network security, network technologies, enterprise networks, secure systems, and information security management. These subjects cover critical aspects of protecting network infrastructure, securing systems against threats, and managing information security within organizations. Alongside these core networking and security courses, students complete their remaining courses for their second major, minor, or electives. This three-year progression ensures students develop a comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, practical skills in administration, and expertise in security management.
