Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS), formerly known as AIS St Helens, is a leading privately owned tertiary education provider based in Auckland, New Zealand. Founded in 1990, AIS originally operated out of Auckland's Downtown shopping centre before relocating in 1993 to the former St Helens Maternity Hospital in Mt Albert. This historic site was transformed into a tertiary residential campus, reflecting AIS’s commitment to providing a supportive learning environment. Today, AIS operates two campuses in Mt Albert: the St Helens Campus at 28a Linwood Avenue and the Asquith Campus at 120 Asquith Avenue.AIS offers a wide range of academic programmes, with qualifications available at both bachelor’s and master’s levels. Areas of study include business, information technology, tourism management, and hospitality management. These programmes are designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for professional careers in competitive global industries.
