COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Applied Management is structured over three years, with each year building upon the last to develop a well-rounded understanding of business theory and practice. In the first year, students are introduced to the core concepts of human behavior and society through courses such as Philosophy and Psychology, and Sociology. These provide a foundation for understanding people and systems—key elements in any management role. Intercultural Communication and Organisational Behaviour focuses on the dynamics of working with diverse teams and how communication affects performance, while New Enterprise Development and Small Business introduces the basics of entrepreneurship and managing smaller business ventures.In the second year, the program expands to include Anthropology, offering insight into cultural influences on human behavior, which is crucial for managing in diverse business settings. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving encourages students to approach business challenges with logical and creative strategies. Strategic Management and Marketing covers essential business planning and promotion techniques, while Sustainable Practice and Operations Management teaches how to manage resources responsibly and efficiently in today’s evolving business landscape.The final year focuses on applying all previously gained knowledge and skills in practical or research contexts. Courses like Innovation and Managing Projects emphasize leadership, strategic planning, and execution. Students then choose one of three pathways to complete their degree: the Management Capstone Project, which involves tackling a real-world business problem; the Management Capstone Internship, which offers direct industry experience; or the Management Research Project, ideal for those interested in pursuing further academic study. This final phase helps students refine their leadership and problem-solving skills while gaining specialized knowledge aligned with their career goals. Graduates leave the program well-equipped for roles in operations, project management, marketing, and business development across a range of industries.
