COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBM (MSc) in Smart Industry at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences is a two-year program designed to combine business management education with advanced industrial and digital technologies. In Year 1, Semester 1, students develop a strong foundation through modules such as Globalisation, Society & Culture, Marketing Management, Research Methods Introduction for the Final Project, Micro & Macroeconomics from global perspectives, New Smart Economy, and Professional Inquiry. They also study Data Analytics for Smart Industry and Integrated Life-cycle Management, which introduce key concepts of data-driven industrial processes and smart production systems. In Year 1, Semester 2, the focus shifts to more advanced topics including Research Methods for the Final Project, Artificial Intelligence in Business, The World Economy, Cyber Security in Integrated Autonomous Business Operations, and Financial & Strategic Management. Students also complete a Project Module consisting of three project weeks linked to the Final Project, where they apply knowledge to real-world challenges. In Year 2, students undertake Professional-Based Learning, gaining practical experience in an industry environment while developing professional competencies. The program concludes with a Final Project, where students demonstrate their ability to analyse and solve complex business and technology problems within the smart industry context, preparing them for leadership roles in digital and industrial transformation.
