COURSE CURRICULUM

This MBM (MSc) specialisation in Hospitality at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences is structured to combine core business education with focused hospitality industry knowledge. The program is designed to prepare students for managerial and leadership roles in hotels, tourism organisations, events, and wider hospitality-related sectors. It integrates academic theory with practical learning through case studies, research, project weeks, professional enquiry, and a work placement that is closely connected to the final project. In Semester 1, students study core modules such as Marketing Management, The World Economy, Globalisation, Society & Culture, and Research Methods Introduction, alongside hospitality-focused subjects including Hospitality Operational Excellence and Critical Perspectives in Hospitality Management. These modules build both foundational business understanding and sector-specific insight. In Semester 2, students progress to more advanced topics including Strategic Management, Micro Economics – Global Perspectives, and Research Methods for the Final Project. Specialisation modules at this stage include Marketing Hospitality, Tourism & Events and International Hospitality Development, focusing on global industry practices and service innovation. Semester 3 is dedicated to Professional-Based Learning and the Final Project, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a real-world or research-based context.
