COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Health and Social Care at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences offers a structured curriculum that integrates core business management knowledge with specialised healthcare-focused modules. In Year 1, Semester 1, students study Globalisation, Society and Culture, Marketing Management, Micro and Macroeconomics from a global perspective, and Research Methods as preparation for their final project. Alongside these, healthcare-specific modules such as Enabling Leadership in Healthcare, Legal and Ethical Aspects of Healthcare, and Professional Inquiry provide essential insights into leadership, governance, and ethical decision-making within the sector. In Semester 2, students continue developing their research skills while exploring Decision-Making in Healthcare, Strategy in Healthcare Management, and Financial and Strategic Management, alongside The World Economy. A practical Project Module, consisting of three project weeks linked to the final project, allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world healthcare challenges. In Year 2, the focus shifts towards Professional-Based Learning, during which students undertake a work placement or practical engagement with industry to further strengthen their skills, culminating in the completion of the Final Project. This structure ensures graduates leave with both theoretical expertise and practical experience, enabling them to take on leadership, strategy, and management roles within health and social care organisations globally.
