COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBM (MSc) in Accounting at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences is structured over two years and combines accounting expertise with business management and practical experience. In Year 1, Semester 1, students study core modules including Globalisation, Society & Culture, Marketing Management, Research Methods Introduction for the Final Project, Micro & Macroeconomics from global perspectives, Accounting Data Analytics & Visualisation, Professional Inquiry, and Leadership & Organisational Behaviour in Technical Environments. These modules build a foundation in business understanding, leadership, and financial data interpretation. In Year 1, Semester 2, students progress to more advanced subjects such as Research Methods for the Final Project, Financial Reporting & Control, The World Economy, Venture Capital & Private Equity, and Financial & Strategic Management. They also complete a Project Module consisting of three project weeks linked to the Final Project, allowing practical application of accounting and financial concepts. In Year 2, students undertake Professional-Based Learning, gaining real-world experience in a professional environment while strengthening their applied skills. The program concludes with a Final Project, where students demonstrate their ability to analyse financial information, apply accounting principles, and solve complex business problems. Overall, the structure prepares graduates for advanced roles in accounting, finance, and strategic financial management in global organisations.
