COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBA in Sports Business at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences is delivered in an intensive block format designed to provide focused and flexible learning. Students study two modules every six weeks, with each module taught over six days split into two blocks of three consecutive days. In the first semester, students attend interdisciplinary classes with MBA students from different specialisations, creating a highly international and diverse learning environment due to six rolling intakes each year. The teaching approach includes lectures, tutorials, group work, presentations, case studies, and live projects, with a strong emphasis on interactive learning. Each module is often taught by two lecturers, including Wittenborg faculty and guest lecturers from partner universities, along with regular guest speakers from industry. The program covers essential management subjects such as Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Management Accounting and Finance, Operations Management, International Management, and Information Management in Semester 1. In Semester 2, students focus on sports-specific and strategic subjects including Sports in the Global Marketplace, Ethical and Social Responsibility, Business Statistics, Strategic Management in Sports Business, and Critical Issues in Sports and Leisure. Throughout the program, students also study Research Methods and complete three project weeks leading to the Final Project. This structure helps students build leadership, analytical, and strategic skills needed for management roles in the global sports business industry.
