COURSE CURRICULUM

The BBA Specialisation in Tourism Management, part of the Hospitality Business Administration pathway, is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in the tourism industry. The program can be completed in three or four years, depending on a student’s academic progress and motivation. It covers a wide range of subjects related to tourism management, ensuring graduates are well prepared for professional roles in travel, hospitality, and destination planning. The teaching style varies across modules and includes lectures, seminars, group exercises, case studies, and student presentations, offering a balanced and engaging learning experience. Group work is emphasised in the earlier stages of the program and gradually decreases as students become more independent learners, eventually leading to a final project or dissertation. Assessment methods include essays and exams, as well as evaluations of teamwork, presentation skills, and the ability to review peers’ work, reflecting real-life management practices. Throughout the course, students also develop important transferable skills such as leadership, numeracy, creativity, and assertiveness. Core modules include Tourism and Travel Management, Economics and Tourism, Destination Management, Sustainable Tourism Management, and Tour Operations in the 21st Century.
