COURSE CURRICULUM

The HBA in Hotel & Hospitality Services Management is designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to manage hospitality operations and events professionally across various sectors. The program combines academic learning with hands-on experience, reflecting the reality that hospitality and event managers must handle a wide range of creative and technical responsibilities. These include conducting research, planning activities, and overseeing detailed execution of services and events, often requiring strong attention to detail and organisational ability. The course can be completed in three or four years, depending on a student’s academic progress and commitment. A key feature of the program is the compulsory work placement module, which provides students with valuable real-world experience and significantly improves their employment opportunities after graduation. Core modules include International Hospitality Business, Principles of Events Management, Food and Beverage Operations, and Hospitality Design and the Environment, which build a strong foundation in hospitality operations. Students also study Hospitality Consumer Experience, Law and Human Resource in Hospitality, and Strategic Management in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry, which develop leadership and management skills. Additionally, Contemporary Issues in the International Service Industry helps students understand current trends and challenges. Overall, the program prepares graduates for professional careers in hospitality, tourism, and event management.
