COURSE CURRICULUM

The IBA in Event Management is designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to professionally manage events across a wide range of sectors. This program combines academic learning with hands-on experience, preparing students to handle the creative, technical, and organisational responsibilities of an event manager. Students learn that event management involves more than just planning; it includes research, budgeting, marketing, communication, coordination, and overseeing execution in precise detail. Since every event is unique, the role of an event manager can shift with each project, requiring flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership skills. The program can be completed in three or four years, depending on the student’s academic progress and motivation. A key feature of the course is the compulsory work placement module, which gives students valuable first-hand industry experience and helps improve employment opportunities after graduation. Core modules include Event Operations and Project Planning, where students learn to organise and execute successful events; Event Marketing and Communication, focusing on promotion and audience engagement; Market Research in International Events, which develops analytical skills; Media Technology in Events Management, covering the use of modern technology; Corporate Entrepreneurship, encouraging innovation; and the Final Project, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a practical and professional setting.
