COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBA curriculum at Webster is structured into three progressive stages: Value Creation Foundation, Value Creation Components, and Value Creation in Practice, ensuring students build knowledge systematically while applying it to real-world business challenges. The Value Creation Foundation, requiring 9 to 12 credit hours, introduces students to essential business principles through courses such as Business, Value Creation, Quantitative Methods, and Market Analysis and Business Planning. Once this foundation is completed, students progress to the Value Creation Components, a 15-credit sequence focused on the core areas of business performance. These include courses on Human Capital, Financial Value of Capital Projects, Providing Value to Customers, Supply Chain and Business Processes, and Information Support for Decision Making. The final stage, Value Creation in Practice, emphasizes application and integration of learning through two courses: Cases in Value Creation and the Walker Consulting Project, where students work on practical, organizational challenges to deliver measurable value. Additionally, students complete 3 to 6 credit hours of electives, allowing them to tailor the program to individual interests or career goals. This curriculum not only covers critical aspects of business management but also stresses value-driven strategies, preparing graduates to contribute effectively to organizations in a competitive global marketplace.
