COURSE CURRICULUM

The Hotel and Event Management program with a specialisation in Festival Management focuses on developing knowledge and practical skills in festival organisation, event management, hotel management, and entrepreneurship. The program combines hospitality education with business and management training to prepare students for careers in the international events and festival industry. In addition to specialised modules, students also study professional development and practice-oriented research to strengthen their academic and practical abilities. Throughout the program, students attend inspiring masterclasses, participate in international study trips, and complete internships with well-known companies to gain valuable industry experience. During the four-year course, students also select a minor that allows them to broaden or deepen their expertise in a specific field. As students progress through the program, they gain deeper insights into festival management, starting with practical knowledge of the hospitality and events industry and eventually developing their own creative event concepts and business plans. The hotel management component focuses on hospitality practices, service management, and facility operations. The event management section teaches students how to plan and organise different types of events, from professional conferences to large public gatherings. The program also emphasises management, leadership, and entrepreneurship skills needed to run successful hospitality or event businesses. Practical learning includes a twenty-week internship, preparation for a graduation research project, and the opportunity to join an Honours program for additional academic and professional development.
