COURSE CURRICULUM

The master’s specialisation in Data Science and Marketing Analytics is structured around core courses, seminars, electives, and a master’s thesis, spread over five teaching blocks of eight weeks each. In the first block, students follow three core courses of 4 credits each, designed to provide a broad foundation in the knowledge and skills essential for the program. These courses introduce the fundamentals of computer science, machine learning, and marketing analytics, laying the groundwork for more advanced applications later on.The second and third blocks are designed to strengthen methodological expertise and emphasize applied learning. Each block begins with courses focused on acquiring new methods and analytical techniques, followed by an intensive seminar where students apply these skills to real-life business challenges. These seminars are a central feature of the program, requiring full-time engagement and active participation. Students work in close collaboration with peers and lecturers, gaining hands-on experience in tackling complex business problems through data-driven approaches.In the fourth block, students complete one final course and select an elective, allowing them to tailor their studies to their personal interests or career ambitions. The process of defining and preparing the master’s thesis begins as early as January, with the fourth and fifth blocks largely devoted to research and writing. Each thesis project is supervised by a member of the academic staff, ensuring that students receive guidance as they design and execute their research.Throughout the program, the curriculum is balanced equally between computer science and machine learning on the one hand, and marketing and business on the other. This integration ensures that graduates are not only technically proficient but also capable of applying their expertise to create business impact. In the final block, Erasmus Research & Business Support (ERBS) also provides job market preparation, equipping students for a smooth transition into their careers.
