COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Business Analytics and Management is designed to provide students with a rigorous blend of technical, analytical, and managerial skills, ensuring they are well prepared to address complex challenges in today’s data-driven business world. The program begins with a set of core courses that establish a strong foundation in advanced statistics and programming, data management and ethics, experimentation and causal inference, and management science. Students also take modules in programming in Python, machine learning and learning algorithms, as well as the course “Your Future Career,” which helps them explore professional pathways and career opportunities. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the curriculum emphasises practical application through the Business Analytics Workshop, which runs in January and continues into the spring semester, allowing students to apply analytical methods to real business problems in a hands-on environment. Building on this core, students then have the opportunity to specialise through domain-specific electives in Block 2, where they can choose to focus on marketing, operations and business information management, or finance and accounting, depending on their interests and career goals. The program also offers a diverse range of further electives such as supply chain analytics, marketing models, principles of financial modelling, customer analytics, digital economy analytics, analysing digital footprints, and fintech: business models and applications, enabling students to tailor their studies to their professional ambitions. Throughout the year, students work on their master thesis project or internship, which provides an opportunity to conduct independent research or gain experience in a company setting. By integrating methodological training, specialised electives, applied workshops, and a final thesis, the curriculum ensures that graduates not only master technical skills but also develop the ability to translate data insights into effective business strategies, positioning them strongly in the competitive job market.
