COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master Philosophy Now curriculum for 2024–2025 is structured to provide both foundational skills and specialised philosophical knowledge across four thematic clusters. Introductory courses include Academic Skills and From Theory to Practice, which prepare students for advanced study and research.In the cluster Representation: Politics, Science, and Culture, students explore courses such as Representation, People and Democracy, Media Aesthetics, and Empathy and Liberalism, focusing on the interplay between political, cultural, and scientific frameworks. The Environment, Life and Technology cluster includes Philosophical Anthropology in Times of Crisis, Biosemiotics: the Life of Signs and the Signs of Life, and Art, Technology and Philosophy, examining philosophical questions arising from biological, ecological, and technological contexts.The Subjectivity and Response-Ability cluster addresses human agency and ethics, featuring courses like Spinoza and Indian Philosophy, What The Subject Is Not, and Advanced Critical Theory. In The Politics of Inequality: Wealth, Capitalism, Exploitation cluster, students engage with issues of social and economic justice through courses such as Capitalism and Freedom, Roots of Racism, and Justice in the Economics and Politics of Wealth.The program concludes with the Master Thesis and associated milestones, including the Milestones Trajectory and Research Practice, allowing students to apply their learning to an independent research project under guidance. This curriculum equips students with both theoretical depth and practical research skills in contemporary philosophy.
