COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Bachelor Economics and Business Economics (IBEB) is a three-year program that equips students with strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills to understand and address global economic and business issues. The curriculum is carefully structured to provide a gradual progression from foundational knowledge in the first year, to applied and advanced courses in the second year, and finally to specialization and independent research in the third year.The first year offers a diverse introduction to the core fields of economics, business, and quantitative methods. Students follow courses such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Accounting, and Organisation and Strategy, which provide insight into the functioning of firms, markets, and economies. Quantitative training is delivered through courses like Introduction to Mathematics, Applied Statistics 1, and Introduction to Data Analytics, while broader perspectives are introduced in Philosophy and Behavioural Economics. The inclusion of Academic Skills and Guidance ensures that students develop the tools to succeed in university-level study while preparing for later specialization.In the second year, the focus shifts toward applied knowledge and advanced methods. Students take Applied Microeconomics, International Economics, Economics of the Welfare State, and Finance, alongside further training in Applied Statistics 2, Econometrics, and Empirical Marketing. Intermediate Accounting broadens the business side of the program, while the History of Economic Thought encourages reflection on the evolution of economic ideas. The year culminates in a Research Project, giving students hands-on experience in conducting and presenting economic research.The third year allows for greater flexibility and customization. Students may pursue a Minor, select electives, or further develop their expertise within their chosen Major. Career Skills training is also included, preparing students for the transition into the professional world. The program concludes with the Bachelor’s Thesis in Economics and Business, where students conduct independent research on a topic of their interest, integrating the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program.
