COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research (IBEOR) is a three-year program designed to equip students with advanced quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills for addressing economic and business challenges. The curriculum is structured around a progressive study schedule that integrates mathematics, statistics, economics, programming, and specialized econometric techniques.In the first year, students gain a strong foundation in mathematics, economics, and statistics while being introduced to computer programming. Core courses include Introduction to Analysis, Introduction to Statistics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Probability Theory, Matrix Algebra, and Vector Calculus. Students also explore Linear Programming and Mathematical Methods, providing their first exposure to optimization techniques central to operations research. This year ensures students are well prepared for more advanced econometric modeling and quantitative analysis.The second year builds on this foundation by advancing into more complex applications. Courses such as Combinatorial Optimisation, Nonlinear Optimisation, and Markov Processes deepen students’ understanding of mathematical modeling and decision-making. Programming continues to play an important role, alongside applied courses such as Mathematical Economics, Finance, and Marketing. Students also begin formal econometric training through Econometrics 1 and 2, Multivariate Statistics, and Time Series Analysis, while practical skills are reinforced with Simulation exercises, Academic Skills, and a Case Study Seminar. These courses collectively bridge theoretical methods with practical economic and business applications.In the third year, students enjoy greater flexibility to tailor their studies to personal interests and career goals. Options include a Minor, electives in related fields, and specialization within a chosen Major. The curriculum also emphasizes personal and professional development through Career Skills and Ethics in Econometrics. The program concludes with the Bachelor’s Thesis in Econometrics and Operations Research, where students conduct independent research that integrates their acquired expertise.
