The Master’s program in Marine Technology at TU Delft equips students with the scientific knowledge and practical skills necessary to address complex challenges in the maritime sector. Students develop the ability to conduct in-depth research and integrate knowledge from multiple disciplines into the design of sophisticated marine systems. This foundation prepares graduates for careers in the maritime industry, research institutes, or academia, allowing them to work on the development of novel, complex, and sustainable vessels that support the green energy transition. The program emphasizes not only design but also construction, management, and operational logistics throughout a vessel’s lifecycle, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.A key focus of the program is understanding the technical aspects of marine systems, including structural integrity under wave loading, system stability, and comfort for passengers and crew. Students gain the expertise to evaluate how structures withstand harsh marine conditions and how vessels respond dynamically to waves, enabling them to create designs that are both safe and sustainable. Graduates are prepared to work as technical experts in maritime engineering or as integrators in multidisciplinary teams, bridging engineering, design, and operational considerations.The program is challenging and personally tailored, fostering both technical expertise and professional development.
