COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master’s program in Civil Engineering at TU Delft provides students with the knowledge and skills to design, construct, and manage infrastructure that addresses complex societal and environmental challenges. Key features of the program include understanding the mechanics, dynamics, design, and construction of a wide variety of civil structures, enabling graduates to create safe, resilient, and efficient solutions for modern society. Students also focus on developing innovative construction materials to support a sustainable built environment, ensuring that infrastructure projects meet ecological and long-term durability standards.The program covers solutions for building on, in, and with soils, addressing challenges related to ground stability and foundation engineering. Students gain expertise in hydraulic and offshore structures, which are essential for energy and resource harvesting, transportation, and flood protection. The curriculum also prepares students to tackle complex water systems, including rivers, estuaries, coasts, coastal seas, and oceans, equipping them to manage water-related risks and optimise resource use.Transportation and mobility form another crucial component of the program. Students learn to analyse and solve traffic-related challenges such as congestion, accidents, air pollution, and the optimisation of public transport networks.
