COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Information Technology Management program, including specialized pathways such as Data Analytics and Cybersecurity, prepares students with advanced technical, strategic, and research skills for modern IT roles. The Data Analytics pathway includes Contemporary Topics in Data Analytics, where students explore advanced trends such as big data, machine learning, deep learning, and the ethical implications of data use, and Software Development and Software Management, which focuses on software lifecycle practices, scalable application development, quality assurance, and project management within data analytics. In the Cybersecurity pathway, students gain practical skills through the Cybersecurity Practices module, covering threat detection, incident response, and system protection, and the Incident Response Management module, which trains them to handle and recover from cybersecurity incidents. Core modules include Digital Transformation, which addresses strategic integration of digital technologies, leadership in digital business, data-driven decision-making, and real-world case studies. Information Technology Project Management equips students with methodologies, tools, and ethical practices for managing IT projects. Information Technology Management emphasizes aligning IT strategies with business goals, covering governance, service management, risk, and emerging technologies. The Research and Professional Skills module strengthens research methodologies, academic writing, data analysis, and professional development for IT careers. The program culminates in an independent Information Technology Management Project or Dissertation, where students conduct research aligned with their chosen pathway—such as cybersecurity or data analytics—developing a proposal, executing research, and presenting findings, often in collaboration with industry.
