COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Information Technology Management program, which includes pathways such as Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity, is designed to develop advanced skills for leadership roles in IT. The Cloud Computing pathway includes Cloud Systems and Visualisation, focusing on cloud architecture, infrastructure management, data visualisation tools, and integration with cloud platforms for decision-making, along with security and compliance considerations. The DevOps module covers principles and tools for integrating development and operations, emphasizing automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and performance monitoring. The Digital Transformation module explores the strategic use of digital technologies in business, covering leadership, innovation, data-driven decision-making, and ethical issues. Information Technology Project Management equips students with methodologies and tools for managing IT projects, addressing stakeholder engagement, resource management, and ethical responsibilities. Information Technology Management focuses on aligning IT with business strategies, including governance, service frameworks, risk, and emerging technologies. The Research and Professional Skills module strengthens research design, academic writing, data analysis, and ethics for IT professionals. The program concludes with the Information Technology Management Project or Dissertation, where students independently research a topic within their chosen pathway—such as cloud computing—developing a proposal, executing the research, and presenting findings, often in collaboration with industry. This structure prepares students for specialized and leadership roles across modern IT domains.
