COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Information Technology Management program offers a broad set of modules aimed at developing strategic, technical, and research capabilities, with specialisation options in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics. Core modules include Digital Transformation, which focuses on integrating digital technologies across business operations, leadership in the digital era, technology trends, data analytics, and ethical implications. Information Technology Project Management teaches students to plan, execute, and close IT projects while managing risks, resources, and stakeholders using professional tools and methods. Information Technology Management covers IT governance, service management frameworks, risk and contract management, and aligning IT with business strategies. The Research and Professional Skills module develops competencies in research methodologies, academic writing, data analysis, and ethical practices. The program culminates in an Information Technology Management Project or Dissertation, requiring students to conduct independent research in their chosen pathway with possible industry collaboration. For the Artificial Intelligence pathway, students take Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which covers core AI and ML concepts, modern algorithms, practical implementation, and ethical considerations. Business Intelligence focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights using BI tools and techniques, with attention to data analysis, reporting, visualisation, and privacy concerns.
