COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBA program with a focus on Project Management includes several core modules alongside specialized pathway-specific modules designed to develop a broad and deep understanding of project management principles and practices. Core modules such as Global Strategies, Managerial Finance, Leadership and Organisational Behaviour, Applied Digital Marketing, and a final dissertation provide foundational business knowledge and skills essential for managing projects in a global and dynamic environment. The Project Management pathway features two key modules: Procurement, Leading and Managing Project Teams, and Executing, Controlling and Closing a Project. The first module enables participants to evaluate projects, develop management proposals, and understand the nature and processes of project management across various industries. It emphasizes the application of project management theories, tools, and techniques, focusing on managing people and resources within the wider context of programs and portfolio management. The second module builds on this by providing a comprehensive understanding of project execution, control, and closure. It covers core principles applicable to projects of all sizes and industries, including project delivery strategies, planning, monitoring, risk management, quality control, and contract closure. Participants learn to address common project challenges such as scope creep, baseline changes, and outsourcing issues. Both modules emphasize practical application, critical analysis, and strategic decision-making, preparing participants to manage projects effectively at intra- and inter-organizational levels. The dissertation/project further enhances research and analytical skills, requiring participants to conduct independent, rigorous investigation into project management topics relevant to their experience or interests, supported by supervision and critical feedback. Overall, the program aims to equip students with the ability to lead projects efficiently, make informed decisions, manage risks and resources effectively, and contribute to organizational success in a variety of complex and changing environments.
