COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Information Technology program provides a structured and comprehensive curriculum spanning foundational to advanced topics across three academic years. In Year 1, students are introduced to core concepts including basic programming, computer systems, algorithms, software design, mathematics for computing, networking technologies, and team-based project work. These modules build essential problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills. Year 2 deepens technical knowledge with modules on advanced programming, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, operating systems, and software engineering. Students also gain practical exposure to data science, artificial intelligence, and user experience design. These modules prepare students for real-world applications through hands-on activities and industry-relevant tools. In the final year, students explore advanced machine learning, AI, DevOps, cloud computing, and the latest developments in emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, and quantum computing. The capstone of the program is the Final Year Project, where students independently research, design, and implement a substantial project under academic supervision, showcasing their applied knowledge and problem-solving capabilities. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on both theoretical foundations and practical implementation, ensuring students gain a balanced and career-oriented education. The program prepares graduates for diverse roles in the IT sector, offering skills in programming, systems development, cybersecurity, cloud management, AI, and user-focused design.
