COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Management programme requires 180 ECTS credits (equivalent to 360 UK credits) to complete over three years of full-time study, with students earning 60 ECTS credits (120 UK credits) per academic year. In Year 1 (MQF Level 5), students develop a strong foundation in core business concepts through modules covering management and organisational behaviour, global business environments, economic trends, digitalisation and Industry 4.0, marketing and communication in the digital world, data analysis for decision-making, and financial literacy for managers. These modules introduce key business functions while building analytical, digital, and communication skills. In Year 2 (MQF Level 5), the focus shifts towards applying business knowledge in contemporary organisational settings. Students explore sustainability, ethics, corporate governance, cross-cultural leadership, business negotiations, sales strategies, operations and supply chain management, agile project and change management, and innovation and design thinking. This stage develops strategic thinking, leadership capabilities, and an understanding of responsible business practices in global contexts. In the final year (MQF Level 6), students engage with advanced business and management topics, including strategic financial management, strategic management and competitive advantage, business intelligence for strategic insight, and sustainable business models, social innovation, and entrepreneurship. The programme culminates in a Capstone Project or Dissertation, allowing students to conduct independent research and address real-world business challenges using analytical and problem-solving skills developed throughout the course. Across all three years, the curriculum integrates contemporary business theory with practical application, preparing graduates for careers in management, consultancy, marketing, finance, operations, entrepreneurship, and related fields. The combination of business fundamentals, digital competencies, leadership development, strategic analysis, and research experience ensures that students graduate with the knowledge and professional skills required to succeed in modern organisations and pursue further postgraduate study.
