COURSE CURRICULUM
The Information Systems study programme provides comprehensive theoretical and practical education in information systems, programming, computer network technologies, modern digital technologies, and selected areas of natural and management sciences. The programme is interdisciplinary in nature, combining computer science with elements of social and management sciences to prepare graduates for addressing complex technological and organisational challenges. Students develop an understanding of computer modelling techniques used to analyse social phenomena, business processes, and management systems, enabling them to support scientific research, forecasting, and evidence-based decision-making. Computer modelling serves as an important tool for investigating complex problems, developing innovative solutions, and generating reliable forecasts that contribute to effective planning and management in various sectors. A central focus of the programme is the development of intelligent information systems and advanced computing solutions. Students study the design and implementation of intelligent technologies, including computer-based learning systems, object-oriented management information systems, expert systems, and neural network-based self-learning systems. Particular attention is given to the modelling of artificial intelligence functions and their practical applications across a range of industries and environments. The programme also explores the role of nanotechnology devices as important components of intelligent systems, highlighting their potential to expand the capabilities of advanced technologies in areas such as healthcare, security systems, and other applications that enhance quality of life and operational efficiency. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, technical training, and applied projects, students develop strong analytical, programming, system design, and problem-solving skills. Graduates are prepared to work as systems analysts and information technology professionals capable of designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining competitive software solutions and computer-based information systems. They are also trained to produce operational documentation, provide technical support and maintenance services, and ensure that information systems meet organisational requirements. The programme equips graduates with the expertise needed to contribute to technological innovation, digital transformation, and the development of intelligent systems in both local and international professional environments.
