The programme aims to prepare highly capable tourism professionals with strong performance potential for careers in both Latvian and international labour markets. Students develop comprehensive knowledge, practical expertise, and a deep understanding of contemporary economic development, tourism entrepreneurship, innovation, governance processes, and the relationship between tourism and related sectors of the economy. The programme also emphasises the development of scientific research abilities, analytical and critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and effective communication skills, enabling graduates to adapt successfully to changing industry conditions and contribute to the advancement of the tourism sector. In addition, it supports the growth of tourism entrepreneurship education and research while strengthening the international competitiveness of higher education.
