COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Visual Design offers a well-structured three-year curriculum that develops students’ technical, creative, and strategic skills in graphic design and visual communication. In the first year, students build a strong foundation by studying basic design, video production techniques, graphic design, publishing graphics, and representation methods and tools. They also learn design history and culture, printing technologies, image semiotics, and foreign language skills, while engaging in independent study activities. This year focuses on understanding visual principles, communication basics, and technical design tools. In the second year, students expand their knowledge of communication and digital media. They study fashion trends history, communication theory, interface design, communication in exhibitions, digital video, brand communication, multimedia design, and communication tools and techniques. These subjects help students create effective visual narratives and interactive media experiences across multiple platforms. In the third year, the program emphasizes advanced communication and professional application. Students explore sociology and anthropology of communication, communication design, art direction, multimedia design, and marketing. They also develop rendering skills to present ideas professionally. The final year includes an internship and dissertation, providing practical industry experience and academic research opportunities. Overall, the program prepares graduates for careers in branding, advertising, multimedia design, publishing, digital communication, and creative direction in the global creative and media industries.
