COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Business and Hospitality is tailored for individuals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds who aspire to build or advance careers within the business and hospitality sectors. Whether you are a recent graduate seeking specialised expertise, an experienced professional aiming to enhance your career trajectory, or someone transitioning into hospitality management, this program provides the knowledge and practical skills necessary to succeed. Applicants are typically expected to hold a second-class honours degree or higher. While relevant professional experience is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement for admission.The curriculum is designed with a strong emphasis on real-world application, equipping students with competencies in areas such as project management, international human resource management, strategy development, innovation, and performance optimisation. The program prepares students to navigate the dynamic and globalised nature of the hospitality industry, combining strategic business insight with sector-specific operational expertise.The full-time pathway runs over twelve months (September to August) and is structured across three semesters. Semesters 1 and 2 focus on core taught modules delivered through in-class instruction during the two teaching periods (September to December and January to April). Semester 3 provides experiential learning opportunities, allowing students to choose between completing a three-month paid internship, undertaking a research thesis, or participating in a Summer School alongside a business consultancy project. A part-time option is available over twenty-four months, with students completing half of the modules each academic year.Core modules include Business Analytics Fundamentals, Performance and Revenue Management, Global Business and International Human Resource Management, Information Technology for Hospitality, Project Management, Hotel Asset Management, Strategy and Innovation for Business, and Intercultural Communication for Business. Optional elements include an Internship, Research Thesis, or Summer School and Business Consultancy Project, enabling students to tailor their learning experience to their career aspirations.
