COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum for the MSc in Agricultural Science and Technology is structured over one academic year and comprises 90 credits, offering a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to sustainable agri-food systems. Core modules include Sustainability and Resilience Challenges in AgriFood Systems, which examines environmental and systemic pressures affecting global food production; AgriBusiness, AgriFood Market Trends, and Intellectual Property, focusing on market dynamics and innovation protection; and Food Systems, Diets, Nutrition and Technology, which explores the intersection of nutrition, health, and technological advancement. Students also complete a Minor Research Project in Agrifood Sustainability and Technology, enabling hands-on investigation of real-world challenges. Additional required modules such as One Health highlight the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, while Science Communication strengthens the ability to translate complex research into accessible messages. Science and Technology-Driven Entrepreneurship fosters innovation and venture development skills, AgriEngineering, AgriTech and AgriFood Biotechnology introduces advanced technological applications, and Data Analysis for Sustainability Research builds quantitative and analytical competencies essential for evidence-based decision-making.The program also offers optional modules that allow students to tailor their learning to specific interests. Options include Green Lab Principles and Practice, Sustainable Bio-Based and Circular Economy, and Strategic Career, Communication and Impact Pathway Skills. Together, the required and optional modules integrate science, technology, business, and sustainability, preparing graduates to lead innovation, conduct impactful research, and drive resilient transformation within global agri-food systems.
