COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws (Law Plus) program is structured over four years to provide students with a strong foundation in legal knowledge alongside flexibility through elective subjects. In Year 1, students are introduced to core legal principles through modules such as Introduction to Lawyering, Contract Law, and Criminal Law, while also selecting electives from other disciplines to broaden their academic experience. Year 2 builds on this foundation with more advanced subjects including Constitutional Law, Torts, and Land Law, continuing the balance between core legal study and elective choices. In Year 3, students undertake a Cooperative Education placement, gaining valuable real-world experience in legal or related professional environments, or they may opt for an international exchange or additional elective modules. The final year focuses on advanced legal topics such as Law of the European Union and Equity and Trusts, alongside Advanced Lawyering modules that enhance practical skills like legal research, advocacy, and problem-solving. Throughout the program, students maintain flexibility through electives, allowing them to tailor their degree to personal interests while developing both academic and practical skills for diverse career opportunities.
